Racing goes ahead at Down Royal racecourse behind closed doors for their annual St Patrick’s day race day.
Last year’s initial Covid-19 lockdown resulted in the cancellation of the Down Royal St Patrick’s day races. Unfortunately, spectators are still unable to attend, however, the race day will run this year behind closed doors with spectators able to watch the action from the comfort of their home.
As their local racecourse, Bluegrass Horse Feed continues their association with Down Royal and is the main sponsor of the day, sponsoring six races out of the seven.
