Bluegrass Horse Feeds are delighted to introduce our new brand ambassador, Para Dressage rider, Angela Lyons.

County Cork based Para Dressage rider, Angela Lyons is the newest member to join the Bluegrass Horse Feeds brand ambassador team. Angela has an impressive record, winning 11 national titles and in 2018 represented Ireland at Bishop Burton CPEDI 3 star where team Ireland took home Bronze.

Let’s find out a little more about this talented rider;

What’s your favourite horse in the yard?  

It has to be Woodcraft Santa Cruz (Aka Tommy), he has a great character and is super talented.

What’s your favourite Bluegrass Horse Feed product?

Turmash! All my horses are on it, I have heard about the benefits of turmeric for arthritis and was always sceptical to use myself, but I have seen a big difference in my 27-year-old that was previously diagnosed with arthritis.

When did you find your love for dressage?

When I was young, I rode Grade A showjumpers and always had a big interest. After a fall where I broke my hip, the jumping stopped but I turned to dressage and got hooked. Dressage is so accessible, everyone does it, it’s the starting point to any discipline. How can you jump a course of fences if you don’t have the flat work foundations behind you?

Plans for 2019?

I’m so excited to be part of the Bluegrass Horse Feeds team, we are aiming to move into medium level and targeting two International Para Dressage competitions, as well as qualifying for the Dressage Ireland National Championships.
