Bluegrass News
Bluegrass Re-Lite Cube, was launched back in June after 12 months of extensive research and development. Re-Lite has been specifically formulated to support both gut and gastric health, fortified in Stamm 30 and Marine - Derived Calcium. Re-Lite joins the Bluegrass Horse Feed low starch, high fibre range along with Bluegrass Re-Leve mix and Re-Solve cubes.
What is the difference between Re-Lite, Re-Leve and Re-Solve?
- Calories - Both Re-Leve and Re-Solve contain Equi-Jewel, a high - fat stabilised rice bran supplement that increases the energy density of a ration and recently improved to include KER BMC (buffered mineral complex). Re-Lite has been designed as a lower calorie version, rather than increasing weight, Re-Lite will help to maintain condition.
- Digestible Energy - Re-Lite is lower in digestible energy at only 12 MJ/kg compared to Re-Leve at 15MJ/kg and Re-Solve at 13 MJ/kg. Re-Lite is ideal for horses in light to moderate work or those with "sharp" temperaments.
- Protein - All three products contain Stamm 30 balancer, with high quality vitamins, minerals and proteins, providing key amino acids to support muscle development. Re-Lite is lower in protein at 10% compared to Re-Leve at 12% and Re-Solve at 13% and therefore Re-List is a more suitable product for horses in light to moderate workloads.
Which feed suits which horse?
Re-Lite - Box rest (when weight gain is not desired), horses travelling frequently, horses with a "sharp" temperament, horse in light to moderate work, horses with cereal sensitivity or horses suffering from or at risk of gastric ulcers, tying up, hind gut acidosis or metabolic conditions
Re-Leve and Re-Solve - horses suffering from or at risk of gastric ulcers, tying up, hind gut acidosis or metabolic conditions, horses needing to increase weight and condition, horses with cereal sensitivity, horses in moderate to hard work.
