FEEDING GUIDELINES
To achieve the full benefit of the recommended levels of DHA & EPA feed at 2.5kg per day to an average 500kg horse, 60 days prior to breeding to boost reproductive health. Mare Prepare will benefit mares at every stage of the breeding cycle, however if you feel at any stage additional condition is required, increase the rate of feeding or add an additional calorie source such as Stud Mix, Stud Cubes, Turmash, Equi-Jewel or Flax Plus Balancer.
Aside from nutrition key management strategies need to be implemented prior the breeding season to ensure mares cycle at the desired period.
*Based on daily intake, fed with high-quality forage, at a recommended minimum of 1.5% body weight (dry matter) per day based on an average 500kg horse.
If feeding less than the recommended amounts, consider feeding Stamm 30 and contact a Bluegrass representative for feeding directions.
