AN Irwins Feed are looking forward to the next phase of development to their expanding mill, with building work starting on the new office facility this month.
AN Irwins Feeds has been producing high quality feedstuff for over 170 years and are excited for the next expansion to the mill. Pictured, Ivy Graham who has been with the company for 50 years in August, digs the first turf at the site of the new office facility in Eglish, Co.Tyrone.
Long term employee, Ivy Graham stated “I started working for Irwins after leaving school. The company was a lot smaller back then with little office staff, it has continued to grow and when Bluegrass Horse Feeds was developed the staff increased and so did the mill”
“As the horse and agricultural feed grew in popularity, so did the facilities, which are still expanding. I now currently work three mornings a week but, it’s nice to catch up with the customers I’ve known for years”
Last year the company celebrated 20 years of the horse feed manufacture brand, Bluegrass Horse Feeds. Both within agricultural and equine feeds, AN Irwins have always strived to excel in the latest scientific developments, providing customers with the highest quality products to produce champions and winning athletes. After a successful year for Bluegrass Horse Feeds customers, including winning international showjumping classes and four grand national winners, it finished off the anniversary celebrations as one to remember. AN Irwins Feeds also enjoyed a successful year with numerous wins across the agricultural shows, including Balmoral and are looking forward to an exciting year ahead, including the launch of their new calf starter feed, Blue Sky Calf, in the next few months.
MD Kenneth Irwin spoke about the exciting build ahead, “The mill has continued to expand, and we all look forward to the new office facilities. Building starts later this month and we hope for it to be completed by winter 2019”.
