The rain stopped just in time for the first race of the Boxing Day meet at Down Royal Racecourse last Thursday (26), but the colder weather didn’t affect the crowds for an afternoon of great racing.
Crowds continued the festive celebrations with a day at the races, starting off with a win from trainer Dermot O’Loughlin with Opposites Attract ridden by Conor Maxwell. The sixth race of the day was the Bluegrass Horse Feed Hunters Chase, won by Dylrow ridden by Jordon Gainford and trained by David Christie. Craig Kileef, Sales and Feed Advisor and Ashley Neely, Marketing and Nutritional Advisor for Bluegrass Horse Feed attended the Boxing Day Meet to present the award to the winning connections, (as pictured).
We look foward to the second sponsored race as part of the new partnership with Down Royal Racecourse and Bluegrass Horse Feed, will be at the St Patrick’s Day Racing Meet, 17 March 2020.
