Bluegrass News
With shows and training halted back in March 2020, Bluegrass brand ambassador Emma Hobson started up a virtual dressage competition business.
Dressage at Home & International allowed riders of all ages, levels, and locations to compete from the comfort of their own yard. Riders receive feedback from listed British Dressage and Dressage Ireland judges and can compete in the leagues to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes. The tests are also handwritten by the company so they are rideable and easy to learn while also offering enough challenge.
“With Covid bringing its own hardships, the idea behind Dressage at Home was to inspire & encourage riders to get back to what they love and have positive experiences while also learn and progress with their training. Judges are hand picked with this in mind,” remarked Emma Hobson on the ethos behind the idea.
Riders compete from all over Southern Ireland, the UK, and Scotland in a wide range of classes which now include jumping classes for all levels, in hand, long-reining, pole-work, bitless, young horse, veterans, cobs can, side -saddle and working hunter classes.
Each league runs for eight weeks and tests are available online through www.dressageathome.com. There are also some helpful guidelines on their website for videoing your test and demons on classes.
Bluegrass Horse Feeds is excited to announce their official sponsorship of Dressage at Home & International. There will be loads of Bluegrass goodies, product offers, and merchandise available as part of prizes for each league. Bluegrass nutritional advisors will also be posting videos on feeding tips and tricks for a wide range of horses including feeding a nervous performance horse, how to increase energy in good doers, and dealing with laminitic horses and ponies.
