Bluegrass Horse Feeds fuelled a treble of winners at Fairyhouse on Wednesday (24th Feb) started of by Silver Friend trained by John Jo Walsh, followed by The Corby Glen Trained by Ray McGlinchey and the final leg of the treble was secured by the Philip Rothwell Trained Barney''s Friend. 

Silver Friend maintained his 100% record, when making a winning debut in the Easter Festival Maiden Hurdle, under Eddie Power. The son of Silver Patriarch, who landed a gamble to win on his debut in a Cork bumper in December, raced prominently throughout and, once he hit the front before the final flight, stayed on well for a nine lengths win. Walsh said of the winner, “we'll aim him at a winners' race next; he's a great mover and would probably prefer better ground though.”

The Corby Glen assisted Ruby Walsh to a double when landing the Bobbyjo Bistro Handicap Chase. Walsh raced the son of Broken Hearted in mid-division before producing the gelding to lead before two out, eventually recording a ten lengths win.

Barney's Honour under Davy Russell got up on the run in of the fairyhouseracecourse.ie Handicap Chase to beat the fading Clear Gold and won by three lengths in the end. Afterwards Barneys Honour's trainer Philip Rothwell stated “I'm delighted to have won a handicap after his 5lbs rise for his runner-up effort at Thurles"
